At Joya, we’re always bringing you programs that keep us in the best shape—physically, mentally, and spiritually. That’s why I’m so excited to introduce our newest offering: jCircuit, a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) program focused on strength and functional movement.

As we get older, our bodies naturally lose muscle mass and bone density, which can lead to decreased mobility, balance issues, and a higher risk of injury. But here’s the good news: strength training can help slow, and even reverse, some of these effects. I’ll be honest with you—aging has been an eye-opener for me. I’ve always been active, but over the past few years, I’ve noticed that building and maintaining muscle isn’t as easy as it used to be. It takes more effort, more intention, and frankly, a smarter approach to fitness. I’ve had to work harder than ever to stay strong, and I know I’m not alone in this. So many of us are looking for ways to stay fit and healthy as we age, but we need programs that are effective, efficient, and—let’s face it—fun.
That’s why I decided to create jCircuit. This program is designed specifically for those who want to build strength, improve functional movement, and feel empowered in their bodies. It’s a HIIT-style class, which means you’ll get the benefits of intense, focused workouts in a shorter amount of time—perfect for busy schedules. But more than that, it’s about creating a space where we can challenge ourselves, support each other, and feel the joy of movement.
And yes, bringing jCircuit to life meant making a tough decision. We recently closed our beloved Steamhouse Coffee to make room for this new program. It wasn’t easy—Steamhouse was a special part of our community—but I truly believe that jCircuit will serve our members in an even deeper way. It’s a space where we can come together to grow stronger, both physically and mentally – and as always have lots of fun doing it!
