INSTRUCTOR INFO

Audrey: E-RYT® 500, YACEP, and a Yoga Therapist in training with a practice rooted in the Ashtanga tradition. She began her yoga journey in 1996 and has been teaching in the Tri-Valley area since 2003, leading teacher trainings since 2008. Audrey was also co-owner of The Yoga Company until 2018.Audrey approaches yoga as a path to self-discovery, connection, and balance—mentally, physically, energetically, and spiritually. She draws ongoing inspiration from the many teachers who have shaped her practice, as well as the students and trainees she’s had the privilege to work with. Their influence continues to inform and enrich her teaching today.

Deanna: Deanna first turned to Yoga to heal from two personal tragedies: the loss of her youngest brother to illness, followed closely by a significant loss of family assets during the 2008 real estate crash. Plunging into Yoga helped her regain her emotional center, cope with her pain and move ahead with her life. That experience inspired Deanna to devote herself to helping others discover the life-changing benefits of Yoga and wellness. She became certified to teach Bikram Yoga, then opened her first Yoga studio, and now operates three thriving studios in Danville, Livermore and San Ramon, with more locations on the way. Deanna has evolved considerably from her Bikram Yoga roots, as her studios now offer a rich variety of heated and non-heated Yoga classes, strength training, cycle, meditation and more. She will lead the “Business of Yoga” segment of the teacher training program. Deanna has gained extensive knowledge about operating a successful business, and looks forward to sharing her best practices with the teacher training cohort.

Lisa: E-RYT-500, YACEP, AFAA. Lisa has been teaching group fitness and yoga since 2001. Fast forward a few years and Lisa's journey has evolved to be a continuous inquiry on interception, anatomy, embryology, movement, fitness and Chinese energy healing. Lisa co-facilitate the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training and leads the Yin Yoga Teacher Training program at Joya. When she's not teaching, Lisa enjoys face-planting in fun arm balances, falling out of tree pose and doing mostly the yin practice.

Alison: E-RYT-500, YACEP has been teaching yoga for over 10 years. Alison loves everything about yoga! She's passionate about teaching yoga so that everyone can find the physical benefits, mental balance, and self-compassion they need to live a healthy life. Alison has over 10 years of experience teaching yoga around the world and is certified in a multitude of yoga disciplines: vinyasa, yin, aerial, SUP, sound healing and The Roll Model.

When not at the studio, Alison is in the Kindergarten classroom or supporting elementary teachers. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and being outdoors.
