INSTRUCTOR INFO

Audrey: ERYT- 200, RYT-500 has practiced and studied yoga since 1996. Her training and practice are rooted in the Ashtanga tradition of yoga and her teaching style is a culmination of the many styles that she has studied over the years. She has taught yoga in the San Ramon area since 2003, yoga teacher training since 2008, and is co-owner of The Yoga Company. Audrey sees the practice of yoga as a way to connect with, learn about and honor the self, with the result being a more balanced state of mind and body. She is grateful to, and inspired by the many teachers she has had over the years and continues to integrate their wisdom into her teaching.

Deanna: Deanna first turned to Yoga to heal from two personal tragedies: the loss of her youngest brother to illness, followed closely by a significant loss of family assets during the 2008 real estate crash. Plunging into Yoga helped her regain her emotional center, cope with her pain and move ahead with her life. That experience inspired Deanna to devote herself to helping others discover the life-changing benefits of Yoga and wellness. She became certified to teach Bikram Yoga, then opened her first Yoga studio, and now operates three thriving studios in Danville, Livermore and San Ramon, with more locations on the way. Deanna has evolved considerably from her Bikram Yoga roots, as her studios now offer a rich variety of heated and non-heated Yoga classes, strength training, cycle, meditation and more. She will lead the “Business of Yoga” segment of the teacher training program. Deanna has gained extensive knowledge about operating a successful business, and looks forward to sharing her best practices with the teacher training cohort.

Noel: E-RYT-500, YACEP has practiced and studied yoga for multiple decades. Her passion in providing a beautiful class and integrating anatomy into her movements continues to inspire. Lisa: E-RYT-500, YACEP, AFAA. Lisa has been teaching group fitness and yoga since 2001. Fast forward a few years and Lisa's journey has evolved to be a continuous inquiry on interception, anatomy, embryology, movement, fitness and Chinese energy healing. Lisa co-facilitate the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training and leads the Yin Yoga Teacher Training program at Joya. When she's not teaching, Lisa enjoys face-planting in fun arm balances, falling out of tree pose and doing mostly the yin practice.

Alison: E-RYT-500, YACEP has been teaching yoga for over 10 years. She is passionate about movement and helping members find mental and physical balance. Alison teaches Aerial Yoga and Yoga classes at Yoga.
